Subaru 4-Speed Transfer Case
The 4-Speed transmission was built by Subaru based on an older Jatco design and is available in four wheel drive and all-wheel drive options. The 4EAT 4-Speed transmission was released in 1988 in the Leone Touring Wagon and Subaru XT6. However, the input shaft as well as the bellhousing were redesigned for the EJ Subaru engine, which was used until 1998.
Two other four speed transfer housings are the Active Torque Split and the Variable Torque Distribution (VTD).
